Only Gaming Lessons Respects your Rights

As a Gaming Lessons student, we feel that there are certain rights to be afforded to you. In the Student Bill of Rights you will find our stance on everything from missed lessons, to lack of content, delays, refunds, and everything in between.

We do this because we know how difficult it has been in the past with other lessons services where you’re forced to wait for weeks on ends as the instructor pushes your lesson back, misses lessons, and slowly stops responding to your emails, and we don’t want to see this kind of mentality take hold here at Gaming Lessons.

In the end, this is just one more reason why Gaming Lessons is your best source for professional lessons.

THE RIGHT TO SPEEDY CONTACT

First and foremost, we feel that the most fundamental right is your ability to get your lesson—as soon as possible. In order to see that this occurs, we promise you that you will be contacted within three days of order submission by a member of the Gaming Lessons staff to arrange a time for your lesson. Should this not occur, we will offer the following as compensation:

Should you not be contacted within 72 hours (3 days) after you purchase your lesson, we will have your instructor contacts you immediately. In addition, in order to compensate you for the delay, we will see to it that you receive a complementary one-month membership in the Gaming Lessons Player’s Club with all benefits that it entails.

Should a week pass without contact, we will contact your instructor for an explanation and to move things along as well as add an additional twelve months to your complementary Gaming Lessons Player’s Club membership.

In the incredibly unlikely event that two or more weeks pass without contact, we will offer you the opportunity to switch to another instructor at the same price level as your current one should you desire, and in addition to your Player’s Club membership, we will issue a full refund of your lesson price to compensate you for the unacceptable delay. Thus, not only will your lesson be “on the house,” but it will come with the thirteen-month Player’s Club membership as well as our deepest apologies.

As you can see, we take delays very seriously. However, it is important to note that there are two exceptions to the outcomes listed above:

Should a Major League Gaming event fall in the waiting periods prescribed above, the days of the event and three travel days in total will not count towards the compensation schedule above. For instance, should you purchase your lesson on the Wednesday before an event, the clock will not include Thursday through Tuesday. Thus, your second day would fall on Wednesday of the following week.

Second, should our staff have made a note on your instructor’s profile stating that there will be scheduled downtime for them before your order was made, the waiting period will not start until after the scheduled downtime has passed.

Even with these minor exceptions, we think it’s safe to say we have one of the strictest policies of the entire industry in place to protect you from unnecessary delays.

TIMELY PRESENCE OF YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Out of all the issues that we’ve seen with other video game lesson services, none can to be quite as embarrassing as having an instructor miss an agreed upon time. Thus, we’ve set out to protect your right to the timely presence of your instructor.

If, after forty-five minutes, your instructor has failed to get online without sending an email, phone call, or text message to you explaining the situation, we will offer you three-month membership into the Player’s Club as a token of our appreciation for your business, and as compensation for your undue burden. Our only request is that you provide some form of proof that you were indeed online (a message to your instructor, game statistic link, etc.) at this time.

If an instructor misses a lesson time but manages to contact you beforehand on the day of the lesson (even if you haven’t had the chance to respond), we will gladly offer you a one month membership into the Player’s Club as compensation for this additional delay.

No doubt you’re wondering what happens in the reverse situation - what will we do if you are the one who misses the lesson?

Unlike many other services, we’ve got you covered there as well - while we’re going to be inconvenienced by it, we won’t be taking your money. However, if you make it a recurring problem (three or more “misses” without contacting your instructor at least twenty-four hours beforehand), we reserve the right to issue a refund, minus $10 to cover administrative costs and instructor time, and permanently remove you from our client list at the request of your instructor.

FREEDOM OF CHOICE

Here at Gaming Lessons, we feel very strongly that you should be able to exercise the freedom of choice. As a student, you, and you alone, are ultimately behind the wheel of your lesson. You have the right to dictate the material covered, and as such, our instructors will always follow your wishes.

THE RIGHT TO REQUEST ANOTHER INSTRUCTOR

If you have purchased a multi-hour package with an instructor, you have the right to end it at any time if you are unsatisfied with their ability and request to have a different instructor finish your lesson time block so long as they are of the same price level.

This option can only be exercised once per order, and should you desire, we would be glad to offer you the ability to upgrade or even downgrade to a different level should you so desire.

THE RIGHT TO REQUEST A REFUND

Should you desire at any time before your lesson to request a full refund, our staff will issue it immediately. However, should you have already agreed upon a time with your instructor and request a full refund within forty-eight hours of that time, Gaming Lessons will assess a $10 fee to cover administrative costs and the time your instructor has already invested in preparing for your lesson.

OUR PROMISE TO YOU

We are incredibly picky about who we bring onto the Gaming Lessons team. You could be the best player in the world, bar none, but if your attitude does not fit with the Gaming Lessons Experience, you will not be extended an offer to do anything for us. We do this because we believe our students and visitors alike are deserving of nothing less than the highest possible level of service, regardless of what they buy or how much they spend.

To that end, each one of our instructors has agreed, through their Instructor Agreements, to respect what we have outlined as your rights as a Student, and more than that, do everything they can to uphold them. And then some.

As a student, if you feel that this promise has been violated - whether it be by an instructor, staff member, or anyone else who represents The Gaming Lessons Company, please feel free to Contact Us and we will work with you to come to a mutually acceptable agreement.
